HOW TO FLUSH YOUR WATER HEATER

1) Locate in your water heater where is the drainage valve and check the how many feet do you have your water heater to the driveway, sidewalk, or yard. Get a garden hose with the same length. 2) Connect the hose to the hose bibb or drain valve at the bottom of your water heater. Do not turn off the main shut off valve of the water heater. 3) Turn it on the drain valve. If your valve does not have handle use a flat screwdriver. Let it flush at least 10 or 15 minutes until you see all the scale build-up came out of the water heater. If you had too much scale repeat in one week. Recommendation: You should do this every 6 months if you do not have a water softener, or once a year if you do have one.
